Arriving and Departing
 | Airport Name: Los Cabos International Airport |
 | Code: SJD |
 | Location: Seven miles north of San José; 30 miles north east of
Cabo San Lucas. |
 | Facilities: Recently renovated and expanded, the facility has a
sit down restaurant and bar, a dozen or so shops selling resort apparel, handicrafts,
bottled alcohol, sundries, and four car rental agencies. |

Getting Around
From the airport, frequent van transfers are available at reasonable rates. Rental cars
are available at the airport and at many hotels.
Rates (subject to change)
 | Airport to San rose del Cabo area: $5.00 U.S. per person |
 | Airport to The Corridor or Cabo San Lucas area: $8.00 U.S. per person |
To get around Los Cabos, taxis are plentiful. Interestingly two different unions
control all taxis in Los Cabos (red & yellow cabs are from San José; blue/black or
green/grey cabs are from Cabo San Lucas). Vehicles tend to be large American sedans and
vans. RATES ARE EXPENSIVE! Between Cabo and San José the fare is $18 per vehicle. If you
plan on traveling frequently between the two towns, renting a car is recommended. NOTE:
The highway connecting San José and Cabo San Lucas is currently being widened to four
lanes. This will improve road safety and shorten travel time through the corridor region.
There is also a water taxi between Médano Beach (facing the Hotel Hacienda in Cabo San
Lucas), and the nearby marina (about $2.50 each way).
Bikes, ATV's, and mopeds can be rented by the day or hour.
