January 1st. - New Years Day
February 5th - Anniversary of Mexican Constitution
March 21st - Benito Juarez's Birthday
April 1st - Holy Thursday
April 2nd - Holy Friday
May 1st - Mexican Labor Day
May 5th - Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla
September 16th - Mexican Independence
October 12th - Dia de la Raza
November 20th - Anniversary of the Mexican Revolution
December 25th - Christmas Day
In addition to the official holidays, there are some unofficial holidays that are observed by most businesses in Mexico. These include:
May 10th - Mother's Day
December l2th - Dia de Guadalupe, the official Patron Saint of Mexico
December 16th - The traditional Christmas festivities, or "Posadas."
Furthermore, businesses close down almost completely for two weeks between Christmas and New Years. Consequently, this is not a good time to plan business in Mexico, as most executives are on holiday. This holds true for the week before Easter as well.
